Specs - Replacement of 420m2 of steel roofing and guttering
This project was undertaken by BMG (T/A Balmoral Contracting) the scope of which consisted of the replacement of 420m2 of steel trimdeck roof sheeting, 40LM of box guttering and associated barge capping, ridge capping and flashing, and 3 No. whirlybirds. The client, Powermac, required a quick turnaround completion in order to re-lease the premises for its electrical products distribution business, of which BMG successfully achieved.
Storage Warehouse

Specs - 30m long x 6m wide x 4m high skillion steel portal building with internal wall partitions
This 180m2 skilion steel portal building was designed and built by BMG (T/A Totalspan Logan Central) for the storage and maintenance of Aurizon's small plant and equipment at their Yeeonpilly depot. The building was constructed under strict OHS and Covid compliance conditions.
Truck Maintenance Depot
Location - Logan Village QLDClient - QSR GroupWhen - June 2018 to April 2020
Specs - 36m long x 20m wide x 8m high steel portal building including 6m long gargaport and 100m2 mezzanine
This 720m2 steel portal building was designed and built by BMG (T/A Totalspan Logan Central) for the storage and maintenance of QSR's fleet of transport trucks. A 100m2 mazzanine was also part of the design, which doubled as office space underneath. A custom-designed 40MPa 175mm thick concrete slab was placed to accommodate the weight of the trucks and maintenance equipment.

Heavy Plant Storage Warehouse

Specs - 35m long x 12 m wide x 5m high steel portal building
This 420m2 steel portal building was designed and built by BMG (T/A Totalspan Logan Central) for the storage and maintenance of Council's heavy plant and equipment. A custom-designed 40MPa 175mm thick concrete slab was placed to accommodate the weight of the plant and equipment.

Milling Machine Storage Warehouse
Location - Berrinba QLDClient - MultotecWhen - December 2017 to June 2018
Specs - 15m long x 10m wide a 5m high steel portal building
This 150m2 steel portal building was designed and built by BMG (T/A Totalspan Logan Central) to store Multotech's new milling machine. A custom-designed 40MPa 200mm thick concrete slab was placed to accommodate the milling machine's 50 tonne weight.

Hindu Temple
Location - Jimboomba QLD Client - Shree Vishnu Maya MandirWhen - August 2016 to March 2017
Specs - 40m long x 33m wide x 15m high steel portal frame including 40m long x 6m wide awning
This 1500m2 steel portal structure was designed and built by BMG (T/A Totalspan Logan Central) to serve as a Hindu Temple. Custom engineering was required to connect the 10m high steel portal frames and roofing structure to the existing block walls.

Community Centre Civil Works
Location - Ellen Grove QLDClient - Uniting ChurchWhen - December 2015 to July 2016
Specs - 30 space concrete and two coat chip seal carpark, drainage works, kerbing, concrete footpaths, turfing, and stormwater bio basin
Balmoral Contracting constructed the civils for this Uniting Church community centre, including demoliion of existing structures, a 30 space carpark, concrete pavement entrance, linemarking, drainage works, kerbing, concrete footpaths, a stormwater bio basin and turfing, all to Brisbane City Council Specifications.

Community Centre Building

Specs - 15m long x 12m wide x 4m high steel portal building with full height and length internal partition
This 130m2 steel portal building was designed and built by BMG (T/A Totalspan Logan Central) for Logan City Council to be used as a community centre. Additional fencing, landscaping and paving was also part of the scope.
